Number one way is eye contact. Usually a person who is lying cannot hold consistant eye contact. They are fidgity sometimes and there are changes in the tone of their voice. Also a person who is lying sometimes tries to put the blame on others or something else very quickly. They may change the subject or stutter. Sometimes they tap their fingers or shift their body weight, if standing.

There are a number of indicators if someone is lying. If their eyes look to their left (your right) it is an indicator that they are using the right side of the brain (creative side) to make up something. If their voice gets softer or they explain too much, those are other indicators. Also, if the body language or attitude suggests defensiveness, that can also be a sign. But none of these can say with 100% accuracy if the person is lying.

You can't always. Some people are very good liars. But practice makes perfect. If they've lied before, and you've caught them, you can expect that they will lie again. Count on it.

Their eyes usually give it away, or the way the person acts or moves.

people use the right side of their brain to create . so usually they tend to glance to the right when they tell a lie

Dont know if it helps but....."YOU KNOW !!!!! "....for some reason you just feel, something is not right when people lie.....maybe a bit "daa !!" but TRUE !!!!
