YES! did you know that babies have been born with the IUD implanted in them? With an IUD the egg and sperm still unite. That means conception! It works by not letting the egg implant to the uterine wall.Of course there is a risk with any birth control.

No form of birth control is 100% fail-proof. Birth control pills, for example, are reputedly the very surest form of birth control -- but even they are not 100%. So, yes, it's certainly possible to get pregnant while using an IUD.

I have used and still use the Copper T I.U.D. for more than 10 years. Never once have I become pregnant or had a scare i was!
Its best used for females that have already had children tho. Oh and the Copper T I.U.D. can only be kept in for no more than 3 years. Can cause major infection in the uterus, this i experienced. Not fun!!

My youngest brother was born with a IUD, I was born with the use of a condom, my sister was born because of a female sponge ...and my second to youngest brother was born with birth control pills...
this should give you an indication of how good birth control works..or it is an indication that God must exist..four types of protection and nothing works? BRILLIANT!

Intrauterine birth control device, which prevents implantation of an embryo into the uterus should fertilization . You cannot get pregnant form this device. It is a plastic or metal device that is inserted into the uterus to prevent pregnancy. Associated with PID (pelvic inflammatory disease). This is what you can get if you know what I mean. (PID)

Possible but highly unlikely! Just need to be sure to go to the check ups and make sure they stay in right. The new Miraina ones are pretty effective...I have 5 year one...
