yes...congrats on asking one of the first music questions worth answering. Dave was in RHCP early on..think he got jackd up on drugs and was kicked out. He is an awesome musician with a funky flair and seems to be doing well on his own. Married to Carmen Electra and co-produced "Rock Star", a show that helped INXS find a new lead singer.

David Michael Navarro (born on June 7, 1967 in Santa Monica, California) is a guitarist who has played in the rock bands Jane's Addiction and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Currently, Navarro is a member of The Panic Channel alongside Jane's Addiction alumni Stephen Perkins and Chris Chaney. Singer Steve Issacs is also a part of this band. They have finished recording their debut album, and fans are awaiting its release.
Navarro also is in Camp Freddy - a band that plays rock covers for the sake of enjoyment.

Yes, he played with them in '94 at Woodstock, and on their '95 album "One Hot Minute." He left the band in '97.
