Why would you want to leave someone who really loves you? It'll kill them (well, not literally, but still) and it'll hurt like hell.
If you have someone else on the side, dump THEM, get your priorities straight, and stay with the man who trully loves you. If you don't like your guy anymore, just tell him so and try not to blame it on him, it'll hurt but not as much as when you'd say that it was his fault in any way. If you don't care for either one or would happen... dump one, use another, and dump him too. That way you'll be able to go with your everyday life wtihout worrying about anybody anymore.
On another hand, if he loves you and he's willing and wants to stay with you no matter what. Just try and work it out without leaving him or causing him (and yourself) any problems and/or heartaches/headaches. To find someone who trully and honestly, it's difficult to come by. You're lucky to have a man like that.

Tell him because you care about him you feel he can do better. You are uncomfortable in a romantic relationship where you know you cannot give them everything he needs/deserves, but because he is such a wonderful person you would hate to lose his friendship.
Are you worried about hurting him or your ego getting deflated if he is not around to stroke it?

u should tell him how u feel but do it face to face not in a letter or on the phone he will surely still feel bad but if u do it any other way he will feel even worser trust me thats how my x did to me and i felt worser than if she wold have told me face to face
