If you build a computer for idiots to use, only idiots will want to use it.
PC wins. Feel free to email me with complaints. I can type up a thesis on why PCs are better. Besides the fact that they out number macs 10,000 to one. Tons of support out there for PCs. And as for games, graphics, and programming. I have no idea what some people are using, but my computer, which I personally built, can do all that more than 10 times better than the top of the line Mac, and I spent less than 1/4th the cost.
Why spend more for less? Who knows why people do that...ignorance? Beats me...
Did I mention customization? You choose what you want and how you want it. A part goes bad, just like any product out there, you take that part out, and put a new one in. There is no shipping it in or taking it to a specialty store. This is why more homes, schools, and businesses (small and large) choose a PC.
When was the last time you saw a commercial advertising Windows? Chances are that it was a long time ago back when Windows 95 was out. Windows knew that it had the market, and it still does. It will not lose it to Apple because it it far superior. These new Apple commercials are pathetic. Who are they trying to convince? I guess that new advertising on how it can run Windows is going to get more peoples' attention. So not only do you have to sell your car to buy a Mac, but now they want you to buy another OS to put on there as well.
PC vs. Mac...no contest. Stop the ignorance. PC wins.

I'm in between. I like Macs for all the reasons people should like Macs and I used to be a Mac person. But now, I'm more of a Windows person as I find the newer Macs more confusing. On the other hand I haven't used a Mac for a while or very often, so maybe I'm just not used to it yet. The thing about Windows is that everyone has them and it used to be hard to transfer files back and forth between the two. Now it doesn't seem so bad, but I'm still in with Windows for the time being. But like that other person said...I wish I could just do both. Isn't there a Mac coming out that does that??

More promoting, a much better advertising workforce, useful layout, homogeneity. PC is virtually any laptop now not a mac, and of direction they are going to run the gamut in pleasant/rate/layout. Therefore the one factor that Macs rather have over each and every PC is that they may be able to run Apple proprietary application. There's additionally an snapshot factor that I'm noticing with Macs. Due to their branding and promoting Macs are recognized as "cooler" than their PC counterpart in unique subcultures. I'm in view that plenty of you place down 'virus unfastened' as probably the most important professionals of a mac. That nevertheless has to do with the Unix centered working method run at the Mac instead than the Mac itself. If PC customers are so willing, they may be able to additionally get a plague unfastened working method in probably the most many Linux flavors.

I use Windows XP because I am very familiar with it. I haven't used a Macintosh since the days of the Quadra. Even though I use Windows XP, there are some things about it that really piss me off. For example, my 17" laptop has Windows XP Media Center Edition. It has a technology called DRM, which stands for Digital Rights Management. DRM is designment to keep people from pirating movies and CDs. Unfortunately, there's a flaw in it that is keeping me from accessing some videos I made with my own digital camera. If I can't figure out how to get access to my own videos, I might have to switch operating systems.
