Yes!!
We are like trained monkeys with the mass media holding the hoop. We care about Lindsay Lohan's big sunglasses, and Britney Spear's failing marriage. We are being distracted while our government slowly takes away all of our inalienable rights! We are turning out backs while our sons and daughters get killed in the name of power and money. Only the few who truly seek truth are aware of the incredible atrocities of this administration. It makes me want to scream "How can we let this go on" Then I look like the crazy person. So sad..................

Then our teachers are so underpaid that we can;t keep up a quality education system which is the future of our country. As a worlds "super power" we are failing miserable at educating out children. Things are going to change dramatically when the youth of today take over. They are stubborn, spoiled, and lack discipline for the most part. What kind of leaders will they make. Scary prospect...........................

I think there is a good possibility because of 'status quo' attitudes, and fear of being 'different'. Bullies are a problem generally in schools and in business. When business only looks for profits, sadly most other standards suffer. I think the Roman empire fell among other things because 'nannies' took care of raising the children so parents were not really imparting their own wisdom to their children. Parents working too hard to give their children 'the best' often fail to give themselves and teach critical information. Dyslexia is a problem not recognized or helped enough so there is a great deal of illiteracy in spite of public education. Learning styles are not recognized or helped either. To learn how to learn is atop need not well defined.
