Honestly, I'd keep Griffey. Hawpe had an early season surge, and has a couple of recent homers, but his average has dropped over thirty points over the last few weeks, which is never a good sign. Historically, Hawpe can't hold a candle to what Griffey's done. Griffey (somewhat) recently hit a couple homers in a game, so I think he'll start surging soon. Griffey's been in a mini-slump for about a week now, but once he gets back on track he'll be a valuable asset to your team, especially if you're looking for "power".

If you are going to dump griffey get someone better then hawpe. Matt Kemp OF for LAD is smoking the ball since his call up from AA. He is batting 375 with 7 hr and 14 rbi. these numbers will just go up. He is the real deal.

You leave that Hawpe on the waiver wire. He is not worth cutting Griffey. He hasn't been all that hot recently. You can't possibly cut bait on Griffey in June after the productive year that he had last year.

if griffy stays healthy he is the much better option, also see if people like Thames(Det), Kemp(LAD) are still available they are better options than hawpe
