make sure that the red is a professional red…not to bright/flashy…and the style of the outfit would need to be appropriate, reflecting of the environment of the profession of the job interview.
that it also reflects you and will make you comfortable and confident in your interview. Go for it! if a company will not hire you due to a color preferences then they are to uptight and will make your life very dreary & muted job.

Not am employer but I will give you my opinion. I think red is great but you shouldn't do too much of it. Don't wear a red suit. If you have a red blouse to go under a black or blue suit that's fine. I think a red suit would give the wrong impression, that you weren't serious perhaps about the job because it's not as professional looking as a more traditional color. Good luck!

I don't agree with your teacher. Since you want to make a good first impression don't risk wearing a color that might turn off some people. Wear your red clothes after you get the job.
It would probably be different if you're going for a job in advertising or art, where being very different and brassy is considered a good thing.

Red is my favourite and so I wore red shirt with black trousers for my interview and I got selected.
However, I don't think color of your dress is that big a concern . The most important thing to worry about is preparing well.
As long as you are wearing a decent, neat , well ironed dress and you know your subject, you stand a chance.

I personally wouldn't wear head to toe red, but a red top under a neutral (black, gray, navy, beige) suit would look fantastic! They say red is a color of power and confidence, so wearing a little red would be a good idea.

If i replaced into interviewing for an ambulance corporation it will be counted on the interest. Are you interviewing for an workplace position or a field position? in the workplace, heels will be "ok", i wager. actual no longer sensible for day use oftentimes. in the sector, thoroughly no longer proper. i'd (and performance) used selections for garments and shoes at the same time as finding out on applicants to flow better into the interview procedure. once you've black/brown/gray shoes with a 2" heel, that's better proper for this interest interview.

As long as it is not some obvious "red power suit", because that would come off as tacky and tends to send a "NOTICE ME!!" message which is a tad desperate. However, a touch of red (ie., red skirt with a tan blazer) can add some style and personality to those drab "greys and beiges" that are so common in job-hunting attire.

I wore a red pant suit with dark brown shoes for an interview once, and I got the job. Wearing red that day made me feel bold and confident, and it translated into my interview.

if it's not to bright of a red it should be okay. or perhaps you could wear a jacket over it so only the middle of the top shows.
don't think it's that big of a deal unless you're looking way to wild for that type of environment. a subtle solid would be fine and probably classy looking if that is a good color for you.
(are you a Capricorn?;)

Sure you can wear red to an interview but the question is what interview are you going for? is it a marketing company? if so that may be fine but if you are applying to somewhere less "creative" then you might want to tone it down and play it safe with wearing black or blue.
