I am from the state of Iowa and I heard about this website called The Great Iowa Treasure Hunt, it has all the people from Iowa with unclaimed money. I found out that I had almost $300 in uncollected funds. Has anyone else found any programs in your state such as this, it is run through the state treasurers office. Just thought I would let you all know that these programs are out there, so start searching your name, you never know what you could find. So my question is: Have you ever discovered you had money somewhere you didn't know about, what did you do with that money?!?!?!

The sites that are run by your state's Treasurers office is a free service and if there is no site for your state, you may want to call and ask the Treasurer if there is a listing of unclaimed money for your state.

I found some money in this old cassettape case from when I was younger & so I just decided to leave it there so that I could stumble upon it again someday.

yes ive seen these site before but they usually want money to find money. you have any sites that dont charge?
