Paradise that you are actually referring to is a Jehovah's Witness belief. Wheras they believe only 144,000 people will be going to Heaven, the ones who don't go Hell (which in their belief is the grave, not a fiery place) will go to paradise - which will be on Earth, but perfect..
Some people would conisder it purgatory -between heaven and hell..

In Dante's Divine Comedy, the 1st part is called Inferno. In Inferno, the 2nd of 9 levels of hell is a paradise. It is for good people not of the covenant of Israel, who lived before the Christ's sacrifice, and so in Dante's philosophy--and that of medieval Catholicism--could not qualify to be in God's presence. This is what you may be asking about. Although I've never heard of the Catholic church giving approval or disapproval of the Divine Comedy.

Apart from the eons of "Heaven" (Paradise)... and the material plane there are other spatial dimensions that exist on the opposite (relative to the Creator) end of the coarseness-subtlety scale. These are layers of hell

I have heard of a multilayered hell but not that one was called paradise. I don't believe in hell unless you are talking about Earth.

Dante wrote of multi levels of hell in Dante's Inferno and Dante's Paradise. Perhaps that's what you are after?

Perhaps you are thinking of the LDS concept of the afterlife. Before judgement, spirits wait in Spirit Prison or Paradise.

Not really hell, but perhaps what you're looking for.

You are referring to hades rather than hell. Tradition holds that there are two compartments to hades---the saved and the unsaved. The saved compartment is known as Abraham's bosom and the unsaved compartment is known as hell.
