Pack your car with only essentials, like cosmetics and the computer. Leave clothes at home. You'll want to buy all new clothes when you get to college and see how everyone else dresses.
A small radio is nice. Televisions are too bulky and the campus is full of TVs.
If you like cards, bring several decks. You can learn to play Bridge!
Bring ONE good Dictionary, and maybe a one-volume encyclopedia. All other books, leave at home. The campus will have more and better books, than you could imagine dreaming about.
Oh, yeah.. Bring lotsa money, and a credit card with a high limit.:-)

be sure to get twin extra long since that is what most dorms use. Walmart has sheet sets now for $12, but if you wait until like the end of july everyone will have good sales on them. Some bigger stuff like a frig or lamp i would wait to get where ever it is that you are going.
