No,
I believe that when you lie to someone your only lying to yourself and you loose respect from others and eventually loose self respect.
Lying is almost as addictive as smoking...
Being honest with others will mean that your honest with yourself.

It would be so safe and easy to say yes, unfortunately although lies are bad believe me, I'm all against them, anybody will at least once be in the situation where a lie my save a life, a lie may avoid for somebody close to be hurt, a lie may fix temporally a bad situation. My real position on this issue is not to lie for your pleasure, in a competition, to hurt or cause some kind of pain to others, however if as I mentioned before a lie can help, truly help then you might consider it ... It is almost like killing for me, would you kill someone trying to kill you or kill an innocent or somebody you care about? Of course if you can just stop the person and hold him under your control fine but there are situations when you have to do so. Therefore, lying is bad simple, but it might be appropriate to do so in a few situations ...

I think a generalization is justified here when I say that everyone lies at some point and for various reasons. Nevertheless, that does not justify lying. A lie is an attempt to manipulate another person for the benefit of the person telling the lie. Manipulation of other persons is the use of that person as a mere thing, thus it is, to varying degrees depending on the severity of the circumstances, a denial of the humanity of that person. While brutal honesty may seem cruel, it is necessary if one truly wants to respect the autonomy of other individuals.

It has to be okay to be able to tell a lie, because you really have no clue on what isn't a lie itself. If you don't have a real understanding about something and you try and say something about it, you would be telling a lie, wouldn't you? And also its better sometimes to not tell people the truth. Lies are only considered lies if they are negative. But in all reality lies are simply words put together.

I guess you never had a wife ask you if she looks fat in a certain outfit then?
Yes, it's often ok to lie. When you want to spare someone's feelings, or spare your own life, go ahead and lie.

If its a loved one NO if its anyone else YES but lies always lead to more lies and if you lie to the wrong people you can find yourself in trouble in many different ways... posting a specific circumstance would allow for a better answer...

It's probably not ok because the truth usually always has a way of coming out in the end. nevertheless, I and many others have told lies before. Sometimes it's an easy out.

I think that sometimes is OK to tell lies because is a way to protect ourselves and most of all to protect others from the truth. But most of all, is never OK to tell too many lies because not only you'll get cut, but you may forget all the lies you've told.

I personaly don't think it is good to lie. a little lie can very easly get bigger, and get out of control. but If you are honest you have nothing to hide.
