There is nothing you can do. Fish aren't like dogs, who can be socialized to get along with other dogs. Bettas (not vettas) are solitary fish who are very territorial. At the very least you will have to keep the Bettas separate. If not kept separate, they will definitely kill each other.

There is honestly nothing you can do. They are fish and can't really be taught anything. The bigger the tank the better but they will still likely fight. The best thing to do is before buying a new fish at a pet store, ask the attendent if it will get along with your other fish at home. Often times, the fish at stores have an aggresiveness rating also. The best thing is to give the fish to a friend or put it in another tank.

I have had both semi-aggressive and aggressive fish, and the only thing you can do is add more fish so that the aggressive ones get distracted. If you don't want to trade in the fish that is causing problems (for a less aggressive type), and you still don't want to keep your tank separated, you may have to let natural selection prevail. Once your tank settles down, you can go to your fish store and talk to a rep there about what types of fish would be a good addition for you. Hope things work out!

Bettas are chinese fighting fish.... They don't really get along with anything... You may want to put a clear glass tank divider so they can live in peace.. Your betta may end up killing your gold fish and/or shrimp... And are you sure its female? Mostly males are the fighters.. They're much brighter in colour.. females are very bland looking.. either pale pale blue to an off white or white.

The only thing you can do is to keep them separated. They sell these mesh dividers were you can divide the tank into different spaces. You could have them in the same tank sharing the same water quality for very cheap price.

put something in the tank to alow the shrimp to 'take cover' if he feels threatened. something small enough for the shrimp to get into but not the fish. try pvc pipeing. that works great and comes in all sorts of sizes. just make sure to wash it first. good luck. my salt water fish are like that at first but after the first 2-3 weeks they settle down.

These fish aren't compatible with each other. That is probably why they are fighting. The right thing to do is what you have already tried doing; seperating them.

Betta fish should be alone and shouldn't be in a tank. It should be in a small bowl.
