311 is my favorite band. They are very original, their music is hardcore, but also very uplifting and happy, they have great lyrics and can flow better than any rapper out there. I have seen them in concert at least 7 times including two 311-Days, one in New Orleans and one in Memphis and every single time it is unbelievable. In New Orleans they played for 5 and a half hours with one 15 minute break. Show me another band now days that does that. They also have the best fans ever. Every concert is a festival with nothing but great people who are all just celebrating happiness. No fights, no anger, all love. I can't get enough of them. I have been a fan since 1992 when no one knew who they were. Before "Down" and "All Mixed Up."
I also love Incubus, and classic bands like Led Zeppelin, The Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, The Doors, etc.

The Clash. They easily switch between powerful, angry punk and some smooth reggae.
They definitely aren't sell-outs like Green Day and The Buzzcocks and the continuely changed their music and expanding their sound
