Either you typed it in wrong, or you have spyware hijacking your web browser.
First try pulling up Dell again. If it's still not right, then head to www.download.com and pick up "Ad-aware SE Personal" and "Spybot Search & Destroy".
Scan and remove anything that comes up, and then try again.

Hi,
This happens sometimes when you just type a short form of a website's address in the Address Bar of Internet Explorer.
You should always try typing the complete address like http://www.dell.com instead of just typing dell.com.
Usually such addresses do not resolve in ALL the cases (It means that dell.com works in most cases, except for few).
If you are lazt like me, try just typing dell and then press CTRL+ENTER instead of just Enter. This replaces the dell word by its complete address by prefixing http://www. and suffixing .com to the word dell. Its very useful tip.
Also, keep your PC free from any spywares. A spyware can also cause this (In case this happens frequently with multiple websites).
Thanks,
Manish
