It depends on that you mean by "bum". Do you mean the muscle ie the "gluteum"? If thats the case it might be sciatica, that is the inflamation of the sciatic nerve. The pain runs from the gluteus muscle down through your leg.
On the other hand if you meant "rectum" it could be heamrrhoids or a growth. Heamrrhoids are dilated blood vessels in the anal region. It could hurt when there is pressure from compacted feacal matter. In that case, the pain would radiate to your lower back.

you are constipated lol. i usually get these shooting pains when i need to go to the loo for u know what lol! don't worry, if you cannot go to the toilet within more than two day then get some lactalose, a lactative liquid which will help you go to the toilet in no time. or try senacot however yuo spell it.

If you mean actually inside your anus and rectum, then it could be proctalgia fugax, look it up on Google for more information, it's like a spasm of the muscle, relatively common and not serious.

does it happen all of the time, or was it just a one time thing? if it is a regular occurrence, don't you think it would make sense to see your doctor? i would see my doctor if i had rectal pain.
