There is no one key. You must constantly learn, constantly not settle for where you are, and always keep going toward your goals.
Also, more people who actually write down goals tend to make them happen.

Success just like wealth are words usually associated with financial situations. Either money or non tangible success will come to you if you want it hard enough. This translates perseverance, focus, motivation(you will or must fight negative comments) You must have smart goals, they must be:
Specific
Measurable
Achievable
Realistic
Time-phased
Plenty of self-talk to make it work for you.
