Somebody used my e-mail to send out spams... how do i prevent them?

I got whole lot of return e-mail into my inbox saying undelivable. Somebody hijacked my email address and used it to send out bunch of spams. Anyway to prevent this?

It's extremely hard. The only thing we do on our network is find out the actual IP address of the person who sent it and block that IP address.
