I am white and cannot speak with certainty.
Some blacks are mad at whites and visa versa from slavery issues and there is some racism here. However, especially in major cities, we are very international, and I would think that you would be well accepted. My kids and I have friends from all over, including Africa.

There is such a difference in cultures that it can be difficult for both sides to let down their guard. They're both so afraid of offending the other person and/or being offended that they don't allow themselves to be comfortable and to truly get to know the other person. Don't worry, real friends are hard to come by, but they're well worth the wait.

Because Africans come from struggle and hardships. They were slaves once, so that makes it difficult to get used to the Americas because that's where they were brought to be tortured by white people. (No offense) So I understand why it's so hard for them.

my sister has a hard time making friends, and I do not. So, being that we are probably the most similar of anyone out there, I guess it comes from attitude. And she's got a lot!

It is not any harder than any other person coming from any other foreign country. You just have to meet the right people.

maybe if africans didn't have such big hangups about african americans and weren't so arogant, maybe they wouldn't have so many problems. I'm not trying to sound racist. seriously.
