The answer is yes, he is an annoying, unfunny dork.
(Anyone who brings up 'Nacho Libre' was the #2 movie this weekend - that's because 99% of Hollywood movies suck and there isn't anything else to watch. That and Americans are dorks.)

I totally agree. He has made a career out of being just annoying. No one ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

I don't know what kind of uptight people think that Jack Black is not funny. I watched Nacho Libre and I found it to be very entertaining. Everyone that was associated with this film should give theirselves a big pat on the back because they could have added some bad language and other things that are not appropriate for children but they did not.
This movie is a good choice on any occasion. I do not think that there has been a lack of good movies. Sandler is funny as well and the Movie Grandma's boy was one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. For those of you who did not see the film it had all of the guys who usally play supporting roles in Adam Sandler's movies.
It is refreshing to see a movie like Nacho Libre. I think Hollywood is getting way too liberal with some of the films that they put out. The same way that I praised everyone that was a part of Nacho Libre I will criticize anyone who had anything to do with Brokeback Mountain. I beleive this film shows neglegance on the part of everyone involved and I can't see how it made any money. I am open minded but I will not watch the movie, ever!

Jack Black can be funny, but more so in small doses. I do agree with the above--Tenacious D was freaking hilarious. He killed me in High Fidelity, the Stevie Wonder thing with the father that came into the record store is too funny. He was funny on his Will and Grace guest appearance. But a lot of his schtick can get old fast, which is why his lead movie roles should be limited!!

Jack Black used to be exceptionally funny before he got a career. I very much enjoy Tenacious D (Tenacious D's original stand-up comedy routine, the short lived HBO TV show and even their 2001 self-titled album), and he was also quite funny in his appearances on Mr. Show. School of Rock was also an entertaining and crtically-acclaimed film.

Oh good lord, yes. I think he's annoying and completely unfunny. Lots of crap movies have #2 in the box office (sorry for that unintentional pun there), that just goes to show we'll pay for anything.
