Nope. It's still the same way it was before we invaded. Warlords run most of the country under their own laws, and the only thing that's pro-Western is the government in the capital. Sorry.

Is the US ever done "fixing" a country. I believe we have been in Korea for 50 years, and Vietnam for 30, and Japan for like 70.

No we haven't. In reality, it isn't ours to fix. Also, we are the ones who aided them to attack us. How? Well, when Russia and Afgnah were at war in the 80's, we supplied the Afghans with weapons to protect themselves against the Russians. The rest we know is history. If we didn't aid them, Afghan would have been defeated.
