There are IQ levels at which people may be consdered "genius." Something above 150 or so, I believe. Genius also seems to transcend mere smarts, by coming up with ideas or answers which no one else has considered, or made possible. Edison, arguably a genius himself, once attributed his success to "10% inspriation, and 90% perspiration." This suggests that at least some portion of genius may be hard work....
