Do not put your friendship in a risk... And do not get yourself into a non strings sex.... Wait for the correct moment, it will come...
I know this sounds out-of-fashion, but this way you will never regret...

I would rather have sex inside of a relationship. You already have an established relationship with your friend, so you should explore that option first. Just remember, sex is not something you can take back. No matter what either of you say or think beforehand, being intimate with someone does change the dynamic of your relationship. At best, sex is not just about two bodies, but a sharing and exploring of passion and mutual satisfaction. Being able to trust that the other person is free of sexual diseases, clean, discrete and is there for the same reasons as you, will make for a much more satisfying encounter. I vote for go slow with a friend you are attracted to already. I think one night stands have too many perils, from broken hearts to real physical harm...
If you are just looking for some stress relief, maybe some fantasy role-playing with yourself would do the trick.

Well in my experience, sex with a friend turns into an awkward acquaintance. It never seems to become that relationship we all hope for. It simply ruins the friendship you once had, because inevitably, one person feels more than the other one. Once you've seen them naked, there's no turning back. As for one night stands, they are even worse. You feel cheap and used and it will eat at your self esteem. So if these are the only choices - then sex with a friend is the better way to go. At least you know they'll call. Personally, I would prefer to wait until I found someone I could care for and begin dating before throwing sex in.

I'd not have sex with a friend, unless it was one who'd BEEN a one night stand. I've had a gal -uck buddy before. That being HER decision as the basis for the relationship, I was cool with it too. Within a week, she started playing the "mental" trips, assuming she'd "snared" me. Moral: Friends becoming partners No-strings sex among friends is sadly a rarity. The complicated dynamics means that both likely won't be on the same emotional page.
For me, I'd go with the one nighter. Just be clear among the two that it IS a one nighter. It may become something, but even if not, you both had fun.....

I perfer a one night stand because you both get pleasure ( maybe) for one night and never have to see that person again but having sex with your friend makes things weird. There will be alot of What if? questions if things work or don't work out. So to be on the safe side I would perfer a one night stand.

Of course the logical answer is ...it depends if you both having a deep caring feelings for each other and want to pursue it into a relationship...if not then it is a one night stand....or several one night stands if the sex is really good.

One night stand. Sex with a friend causes EVERYTHING to change and there is the distinct possibilty that you could lose that friend forever. So take the one night stand and keep the friendship intact.

Definitely with a friend. One night stands are meaningless. At least if it's with a friend there's the chance for it to either build into something greater - or maybe it's only a friend with benefits relationship.

I agree with Jamie jay, Both. Life's too short.
Ideally, if it was a sexy friend and it looked like it could be a really good relationship, then I'd probably go with that.
But at the moment I don't have many friends who are girls and who are also sexy. So I'll take the one night stand.(as long as they're sexy, or I'm really drunk) ;~)

Sex with a friend definately it gets out all the sexual frustration out of the way and its deeper than sex with a stranger. But it may or may not work but that depends on the friend and you will soon find out if they are a real friend if they stay you friend.
