Like a Nissan 350Z, Mitsubishi Evo III, Nissan Skyline S15, Nissan Silvia, or even the lower grade cars. Then what do you put on it? Turbo kit, suspension, big brakes, etc. Plus do you have to use the E-brake in order to drift?

drifting is controlable chaos.
i read in autocar magazine this famous japanese drifter rarely or nver use his brake during drifitng. only handbrake and engine braking is required.

most of the cars have turbo coz you need excess power to cause the rear wheel to loose grip.

the suspension must be set up properly for drifting.

brakes... who brakes in drifting.

Get a miata. Even though they don't usually come with a Limited slip; you can get one put on. They're light, perfectly balanced, great handling, rear wheel drive and they're pretty easy to drift. Also since they don't have that much power you can really get drift techniques down. Since it's your first car, the miata's parts are pretty cheap for a import and it gets great gas mileage too. It's pretty much everything you're looking for.

you shuld see me comin home from work, sliden passenger side first through a 90* left turn at just 50mph. If you use the brake, thats not really driften. you need to hit the gass.
