Ok i am 13 years old and if me and my 15 year old sister do not have good manners our uncle makes us watch "barney" show. Is this stupid for our age of kids

Yeah,mabey u should ask a friend to help u with your manners!and prove to him your to old for Barney!manners are very important,but not to the point where u need to be watching barney at you'r age.Just start using your manners and he'll stop making u watch barney.good luck

Sounds like negative reinforcement to me. You do wrong so instead of brow beating you himself, he is making you do something just a painful. This has nothing to do with learning from a purple dino, it is being done to bring on a positive response.
At 13 you should have figured out what good manners are. Using them is the best way to show your uncle you are both mature young women. I think he only wants the best for you.....with an odd way of showing it. (personally I would not make my daughter watch that show and she is 4)

It may seem stupid to you, however, manners are so important to learn to use no matter what the situation. I wonder does it work, and is there a problem with your using your manners that you would have to watch Barney on occasion. My children and I moved to Texas a few years ago from Las Vegas. I was suprised to see how most of the kids, from just learning to talk to adulthood are required to reply to their elders and even perfect strangers walking through a convenience store door with respect and courtesy. To say "yes sir", "no sir", "yes ma'am", "no ma'am", "please", and "thank you" are the simplest methods of kindness. Keep that in your mind and you'll find others will be as courteous and respectful to you as you are to them.

Watching barney's not bad, but to make you wathc it, isn't the best solution. Your uncle needs to teach you the manners you lack, and really make an effort to do it. When I was 13, my manners were ok, but not terrific.

yeah you guys are no longer babies. Why dont you guys just practice good manners so you wont have to watch that show ant more. If you start acting mature then your uncle will treat you like mature girls and you wont have to watch barney anymore.

Barney is a little to childish for you all.
You girls are teenagers.
He wants you to keep your innocents in a world that encourages teenage girls to act like adult way before it is time.
That's cool of him to want you all to hang on to that but ..............

Work on your manners and try to be more lady like and some what proper (don't go over board) and then he will see that you are young ladies and not babies and he will ease off.
