Your two letter state abbreviation. For example, if you live in Maryland, it would be MD. If you live in Nevada, it would be NV. There should be a list on the United States Postal Service website, www.usps.gov

If you live in the United States of America, the State in which you live is designated by a two letter code (ie: California = CA, Washington = WA, Texas = TX, etc).

A full list of codes can be found at: http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/usps_abbreviations.html
