Your two letter state abbreviation. For example, if you live in Maryland, it would be MD. If you live in Nevada, it would be NV. There should be a list on the United States Postal Service website, www.usps.gov

If you live in the United States of America, the State in which you live is designated by a two letter code (ie: California = CA, Washington = WA, Texas = TX, etc).
A full list of codes can be found at: http://www.usps.com/ncsc/lookups/usps_abbreviations.html

It means that they want you to tell them what state you live in. every state has two letter abbreviations that the post office uses. California - CA, Arizona - AZ, New York, NY. That is what they are looking for.

The state abbreviation. For example, I'm in Indiana and my state code is IN. You can find a listing of them on the usps website I believe.

Every one of the states in the US has a two-letter abbreviation. e.g. Washington is WA, Missouri is MO, Hawaii is HI. Does that help?
