Characteristics of the Atmosphere
TROPOPAUSE: the altitude at which the temperature in the troposphere ceases to fall
Boundary between the troposphere and the next layer the stratosphere
STRATOSPHERE: the second layer of the atmosphere
Temperature remains constant then rises
This is the layer the ozone layer is located
STRATOPAUSE: the divisional area between the stratosphere and the next layer the Mesosphere.
Temperature similar to the surface, but the thin atmosphere allows little of the heat to be conducted.
