It's possible to get pregnant immediately after, but I'd suggest she wait. Losing a baby that far along in a pregnancy is very tough mentally. I lost my first son at 26 weeks due to a knot in the umbilical cord and was able to get pregnant 3 months later. The pregnancy following the death of my son was an emotionally roller coaster.

I was born on May 12 1982 and my sis was born April 30 1983. We are 12 days short of a year apart. Considering one is pregnant for 9-10 months, that means my mom got pregnant when I was 1 or 2 months old.

I'm sorry to hear of your cousin's loss.
I have never heard of a woman getting pregnant immediately because her body is all hurt and damaged from labor. At the six week check up after delivery, the doctor usually talks to you about birth control right then because you can get pregnant again. It does not take long at all for a woman's body to begin ovulating. At two months after delivery, I'm thinking it would be very possible for another pregnancy.

It is possible to become pregnant right away after having a baby. There are people who have 2 babys 10 months apart. So its possible.

You are very fertile right after giving birth. No one told me this until I did it! My baby was 8 weeks old when I got pregnant. So, if she is questioning it....get a test!!

It is possible... I would suggest using protection for at least 2 periods. I had a miscarriage and that is what my dr suggested. You have to give yourself some time to heal.
