The article in the sources below says the condition is often over-diagnosed because there isn't definitive proof that the papillomavirus is present in the micropapillae when present in the labia minora.

It seems to me, there may be reason to have your Gynecologist check it out, but I wouldn't worry until he or she is concerned.
