I think it's the other way around; easy to hold on to, but hard to let go.

Look at it this way, if you are fighting to hold on, maybe it's not the best thing for you. Then, reality comes to play and it's easy to let go, because you know it was really wrong for you.

Like that old song says 'hold on loosely and dont let go'. You cant keep something in a strangle-hold and expect it to grow or do anything interesting. You gotta let it breathe and be what it needs to be. But dont just let it go. You gotta check back with it on occasion.

you can't apply this to everything.
it depends on the situation.
but , sometimes it's hard to hold on because holding on requires more effort to keep things going the way you want them ,but letting go can be easy only when you're fed up with the whole thing and just need to escape .again it depends on the situation.

It is only easy to let go for a short while..then the ramifications start to set in, and you are left with a lot of regret for having let go...too soon?

hmm actually i think it is easier to hold on then letting go.
I guess it depends on the situatution. Some people heal faster then others. Others spend their whole lives wondering about the past. I guess it comes down to a point *whether or not you want to move on or not. whether you want to live in the light or live in the shadows. (I know corny metaphor lol).

I absolutely disagree. It is easy to stick with that which one is familiar and comfortable. It is extremely hard to let go and shift one's paradigm.
