No, in fact I think it may be the opposite. I'm single and I think that because I've had deceitful things happen to me by my former girlfriend, I'm more apt to see deceit before it happens. If someone is happily married, they may be lucky enough to not have someone they love lie to them. Therefore, when someone is trying to deceive them, they may not even suspect it.
I guess that being single and or married has nothing to do with it. I think that if you've been in a relationship with someone who lies, you are more aware that that kind of thing goes on a lot more than most people think. Married people may have had that happen in a previous relationship. And Single people may be lucky enough not to have had that happen.
I think that people who have been hurt are more likely to see deceit for what it is.

i think there are, at some times, a bit of eny from married employees. I was in an office where I was the only single person and I can tell you I got a lot of backstabbing and shady treatment there. a lot of whispers behind closed doors and such. Much like high school lunch time, you tend to sit with people more like you or in the same league as you. I guess singles would be the folks who ate lunch out of the cafeteria while the married folks are like the losers who all sat at the same table.

I can see how that would happen. A single worker is more likely to make a decision without thoroughly thinking it through, whereas a married worker, more often, has to talk it over with his/her spouse before making a decision.
