they range drastically in price depending on what you are looking for in the features.

If you mean a Palm Pilot, anywhere from 200 to 800 Dollars.

A palm pilot is not a small laptop.
A palm pilot is a PDA, Personal Digital Assistant.
It still require syou to connect it to your computer to sync up changes.

There are many companies that make PDA's.
You need to know what its capabilities are, as well as what you are going to use it for.
You obviously need to do more research before you buy one.

Most I saw were in the $300-$400 range

well, i check on it a while back, wasnt too long though, n i saw them light n thin desktop n dey cost round from $800 to thousands of dollars! n i aint lying! i could try n check it out on bestbuy.com
