Has to be Casablanca! Bogart has the girl in Paris. Loses her because of the German invasion. She comes back in his life in Africa. He lets her go again so that she can escape with her husband that she thought was dead. How much more can a guy love a woman?

I am really not sure if this is the MOST romantic movie of all time but its the first one that pops into my head when I am asked: The English Patient.

When you take into account that Ralph Fiennes' "Count de Almasy" falls so hard for Kristen Scott Thomas' "Katherine" that he not only steals her from his friend but then braves death more than once to ensure that she lives. At the same time, the blossoming love between the nurse (Juliette Binoche) and the Middle Eastern demolition expert (played by the brilliant NAveen Andrews, now starring on "Lost") is also captivating.

Long for some. Boring for most. I am captivated by every frame.

It's hard to name just one!
You've got the Classics like ..
"Casablanca" and "Breakfast at Tiffany's"
"Sleepless in Seattle" and "You've got mail"
and some might say "Dr. Zhivago"
those are timeless and they left in our minds
an image of what love should be like.
and then you have more recent great movies
that are just as touching and romantic like ..
"50 first dates" (my personal favorite)
" Bridget Jones's Diary" ..
(because he loved her just as she is!!)
"Titanic" (although not my fave but no
doubt has a substantial weight in the genre)
"The Bridges of Madison County" (beautiful)
"Shakespeare In Love" .. won an oscar!!
"Moulin Rouge" , "Ever After" , "Serendipity"
"Someone like you"
and the list is long .. and honestly i think its not fair to pick just one, because each of them is beautiful and great in its own way and shows a different idea of what romance is!
