Like a rear differential, rear wheel drive, after market upgrades, ...? My friend and I where like you can't just drift with any car and they never say what the car really needs. We don't actually plan on going drifting, but would like to know.

First, you need a rear-wheel drive car, lots of horse power, light weight, and fairly slick tires. The trick is to get the car sliding sideways and then get into the throttle hard to get the tires spinning. Then you modulate the throttle just enough so you keep the car sliding, but not spinning out.

Rear wheel drive and horsepower. Yes, you can drift any car.
If you live in a cold climate you can practice on ice or snow, its easy.
This is nothing new. Rally cars and ice racers have been doing it since cars were first raced.
