Why is everyone on here always bashing Americans?

I mean, if you don't like our politics, fine, most of us here don't care for our political policies either. But why call Americans names, or "try" to insult us by saying we suck at Soccer (football)?

To Wandermind: look up "hyperbole" in the dictionary. Then work on your sense of humor.

The French suck at baseball. The Japs suck at football. The Brazilians suck at hockey. Does that make you feel better?

The words, "always" and "everyone" together make this question false. This is not always happening and everyone is not always bashing Americans.

It is more absurd to use, "on here" , we are supposed to assume you're refering to Yahoo Answers

Then a few examples of the word, "bashing" might help us to understand if you mean that in a physical or a critical sense.

And the big whip lash in my mind came with the word, "Americans". Today American means many foreign peoples living in the New World with Indigionous Americans, a multicultural, multiethnic melting pot of families living in peace on the southern and northern continent of the Americas.

That leaves us wtih the word, "Why"

I am totally surprised and it comes from American youth very often,the words they use while doing the bashing are awful. You will find it in religious chat rooms and anywhere else. It does not stop with the President. I have seen a whole website with nothing but obscenities against George W. Discusting is the word.So certainly it will not stop at Soccer. Perhaps a 101 in English vocabulary would help ? and certainly if you join me in Prayer for the ones that need to get more positive thoughts in their heads and then express those, Lord hear our prayer

Careful ,,,be careful using generalizations ...not "everyone on here" is "always bashing Americans". That's two generalizations which are not true. Certainly, there are many who bash Americans...isn't it a international occupation? Don't some Americans likewise bash not only other nationals but themselves as well?
In any case,,,having a public forum is somewhat better to express discontent than some other forms of aggressive behavior display..such as terrorism bomb blasting,,no? sincerely.

i think it is becaus we are the most powerful country in the world, also, like him or not, President Bush IS the most powerful person on the face of the planet. I think that morons that bash our political system are jealous. The war is a quagmir, they say, but where would we be if we had not gone over to foreign lands and defensively struck the terrorist? we would be a weak country just like the ones that are bashing us, the U.S.. SO what I say to the American haters of the world, "F*ck- all - of - ya!!"

We suck at soccer...hmmmm....WHO CARES?! The reason we suck at soccer may be because we spend our precious time and devotion to actual sports! Has anyone ever thought about that?! America will whoop you ( ANY other country in ANY other sport, right here! right now!) BIG! Soccer is what we let our basic needs classes in America do, that and pick up recylcling paper.

Because of President Bush and his supporting cast of clowns. People get the impression that we are idiotic buffoons like they are. Note to the people that bash Americans, not all of us are as mentally challenged as our President. Also, we may suck at Soccer but we will kick your tail in a real sport like AMERICAN football.
