I first got my contacts when I turned 9 years old. I had glasses for 4 years before that. I think hazel eyes looks really great with dark skin. I think hazel would be a great choice....judging your skin color from your avatar.

you can get any color you want nowadays, i think hazel or green is very nice. and as long as your parents don't care you should be old enough to use them. my daughter had a friend who had a specific eye problem that required her to wear both contacs and glasses until she had corrective surgery at age 15 and she started using the lenses at age 8.
