Upon the entrance, they will check ur bag, and will not let u bring a camera or recorder in. If they gave u prior notice that this is not allowed, they will enforce it. Just enjoy the memory and store it in ur personal cam.

They will take the film but not the camera. I know someone who sneaks cameras into concerts all the time. I have seen other people get theirs taken from them and I know what they do wrong. If you can get a camera into the show, don't stand up on a chair to take pictures because everyone can see you there. The guy I know puts his camera between two people's heades in the row in front of him. He has been caught taking pictures but it happens rarely. If you are discreet you may get away with it.

The concert promoter decides whether or not to allow cameras.

Yes, they do take it seriously. If you bring a camera, it will in all probability be confiscated when they do the security check at the door.

I worked many concerts and we had to take all cameras and camcorders that people brought in. We searched the purses and persons thoroughly. We kept the confiscated items at the door but we took no responsibility to see that every one got the camera they brought in. They were put in a barrel and everyone, upon leaving, was trusted to take what was theirs. In one instance an expensive digital camera was taken by someone other than the rightful owner. The owner had no recourse as it was not the responsibility of security to watch for items brought in illegally.

If we caught someone taking photos we evicted them , without refunding their money.

I was responsible for training our security officers in how to spot the cameras. My officers were excellent. We could spot the culprits after the first shot and escorted them out of the building.

Taking photos is copyright infringement.

Hide the camera. They'll just check your bag. But, if you can find a good hiding place, then you can take pics. A lot of people take pics during the concert and the security people just let it go.

They'll usually take it from you. If you want to take pictures you can do it with your cell phone if it has a camera but if they say no cameras they mean it.
