no it's just a fly with no wings, for all intensive purposes any insect with no wings should be therefore called a walk and all insects with wings should be called flies, but they're not, they're called all sorts of things; not necessarily verbs either. To my limited knowledge for, what it's worth, there are no insects called walks.

Sure why not...if a man with no arms and legs were in water he'd be called Bob...so a fly with no wings could definitely be called walk :D.

Let's say you were born with no limbs, does that make you less of a human and therefore be labeled as subhuman? No, right?

Therefore, just because a fly has no wings does not make him less of a fly and therefore, he should be still considered a fly....a fly with no wings.

Probably.. it must've been a Friday around 5pm when they named the fly. "We need to get the hell out of here, um, it can fly, we'll call it a fly!" Probably the same reason it's called an orange.
