The Irish Gaelic word for sisters is 'deirfiúracha'. I believe 'Pheathraichean' is Scottish Gaelic.
No Irish symbol has been proven to be particularly related to 'Sisters' but in more recent times Celtic knot work has had 'meanings' attributed to them, mainly by jewellers to sell their wares .
One knot, the triquetra appears on the television series Charmed, "In the show, it represents the "power of three, acting as one " which in turn represents the three sisters."
Many Celtic deities were worshipped in a triple aspect and Triple Goddesses were often sisters, so any triune (3) form could be a interpreted to represent sisters.
I have given links to sites (some jewelry) showing these symbols.

How about a Triquetra? A symbol of the Celts that has three seperate points (perhaps identifying three individuals) and yet forever joined (the eternal bond between sisters)
