Moisture is the problem. You must make sure your feet are clean and dry as much as possible. As someone else mentioned, wear cotton socks as they help absorb and wick moisture away from your skin. Stay away from nylon or other synthetics. Powdering your shoes does help, but you must make sure to knock out all the old powder before adding more.
You also need to be concerned about fungal infections on your feet. Keep your toenails clean and trimmed. Don't pick at your feet if you have dry skin or a hangnail. You can try Lamisil or some other over-the-counter anti-fungal cream. I prefer tea tree oil for this purpose. It does not smell fabulous but it's better than stinky sick feet. Tea tree oil is an anti-fungal, anti-viral and anti-bacterial oil. If you go to a health food store, you should see it in powders, lotions and the straight oil. If you use the oil, use it very sparingly.
If you can, try wearing open shoes or sandals made of all-natural materials. These types of shoes help air circulate over the foot as you are walking around.

Tonight, before bed, soak your feet for 15-20 minutes in very, very warm water with some lemon juice in it (not a lot of lemon juice, just about a half a teaspoon in a bucket of water). When you're done soaking, use a facial scrub and scrub the dead skin off them including between and under your toes, then rinse them and put a little bit of a light moisturizer on them. If you do this every other day for a week, your feet should stop being stinky.
In the morning, after you shower and dry them thoroughly, put a little baby powder on them and in your shoes.

There are a few things you need to do on a daily basis to control foot odor.
* every day wash your feet with an anti-bacterial soap and put on clean dry socks
* soak your feet in a container of strong tea. The tannins in the tea will eliminate odo
* powder your feet to help keep them dry
* try rubbing on an anti-perspirant to absorb moisture
Also, make sure your shoes can breathe otherwise you are just confounding the problem. With shoes, you get what you pay for. Payless shoes = stinky feet!

I've found the best way to get rid of smelly feet is white vinegar.
Pour a half quart (16 oz) into a pail with 1 cup of water and let them soak for about 20 minutes. Rinse with cool water and let them dry thoroughly.
You'll want to check out your shoes and socks also, make sure they are clean and fresh.

Wow...a cute lil button like you has funky feet!...well, girlfriend, you gotta get rid of all them funky shoes, you been putting those feet in...secondly, you need to soak those dawgs in some hot soapy water, add a lil bleach,...buy a pumice stone and scrub off that dead skin... clean between the lil Piggy's at the market...clean all that dead skin and jam from under your toenails...change the water to some warm, bubbly water...soak them dawgs a lil more, add some baby oil and massage your puppies...cause they've stop barking and just whimpering now....after about 7 minutes...dry your brand new feet and moisturize them with some fragrant Foot lotion...you may need to repeat this process weekly for about a month and then...when you feel really, good about them...treat yourself to a professional pedicure...and get your toenails polished!

My feet stink too, but mostly only when I wear sneakers or closed shoes. Try sandals or shoes that let your feet breathe. And, i always load my closed shoes with baby powder too. Another idea I haven't seen mentioned is to buy antibacterial spray-on deoderant and give those puppies a good dose before putting your socks on. good luck

Foot odor can be embarrassing. There are things you can do to prevent this problem. Foods like garlic, raw onions, fresh scallions and black pepper pass their odor-bearing products through your bloodstream so you can try avoiding these foods. Generally, foot odor is caused by sweaty feet and bacteria or fungi that like a warm, dark, moist environment. Two of the most common sources of stench are corynebacteria and micrococci. Bacteria produce isovaleric acid, the substance associated with foot odor.
So, every day soak your feet and wash your feet briskly with an antibacterial soap like Dial, Safeguard, or Zest. Scrub your feet with a soft brush including between the toes and under the nails. This will remove dead skin and some of the bacteria. Make sure you dry your feet and toes thoroughly (a hair dryer may help). If you have nail fungus you will have to treat it. For wetness, use a common deodorant containing aluminum chlorohydrate on your feet. Your nervous tension produces tension sweating, sweating contributes to foot odor.
Avoid the use of nylon socks. Wear socks made from wool, cotton or some other absorbent material. Change your socks at least once a day . You can take an extra pair of socks to work or school for changing during the day. Wear socks whenever you wear shoes.
Do not wear the same shoes every day. Let your shoes dry out. Put powder in your shoes. Odor-Eaters® Insoles have super activated charcoal that absorbs wetness and bad smells. Use them in your shoes.
Wear well-ventilated shoes. Some synthetic materials used in shoes – like plastic, spandex, polyester, rayon and nylon – make it harder for feet to breathe. Wear shoes that are made of leather, canvas, mesh or other materials that let the feet breathe. It helps to go barefoot or wear socks or sandals by themselves whenever possible, thus allowing air to reach the feet more easily.
Sweating and odor may be reduced by soaking your feet daily in black tea, which contains tannic acid. One method is to brew two tea bags in 1 pint of boiling water for 15 minutes. Then add the tea to 2 quarts of cool water and soak your feet for 20 to 30 minutes.
Bromhidrosis (unpleasant body odor) can be treated by your physician. In rare cases, bromhidrosis may become pathologic if it is particularly overpowering or if it significantly interferes with the lives of the affected individuals.
Bacterial decomposition of apocrine secretion yields ammonia and short-chain fatty acids with their characteristic strong odors. The most abundant of these acids is (E)-3-methyl-2-hexenoic acid (E-3M2H), which is brought to the skin surface bound by 2 apocrine secretion odor-binding proteins (ASOB1 and ASOB2). One of these binding proteins, ASOB2, has been identified as apolipoprotein D (apoD), a known member of the lipocalin family of carrier proteins.
Your physician can prescribe an antbiotic ointment such as Clindamycin or Erythromycin.

Spray your CLEAN feet with Lysol spray it REALLY helps because it kills bacteria. If you wear socks, make sure they're only clean white cotton socks, and try to keep your feet exposed to air as much as possible.
