Mine is "There's no-one left alive - it must be a draw" from "Battle of Epping Forest by Genesis. It seems to ring more true with each passing day. Will the hatred keep going till there's no-one left?

Battle of Epping Forest is cracking! Knights of the Green Shield stamp and shout! In fact the whole of Selling England by the Pound is SO clever and wonderful.

I love a lyric by Steve Forbert "It's often said that life is strange - ah yes, but compared to what?" I also liked Duran Duran's "You're about as easy as a nuclear war".

Great to hear another "old" Genesis fan still plugging away :0)

hmmm....this is hard, but as i'm thinking right now, it's,

"As simple as I can, I'll tell you the difference between a pencil and a pen...in my memory I wrote you down in ink, I never wanted to erase your story, even with the tragedy it brings."

This is from the song "Returning the smile you have had from the start" by Emery. I like this line so much because of how poetic it is. I believe you'll like it if you listen to the entire song. The emotion is amazing. God bless you and have a great day.

My favorite lyric is from the Fort Minor song Back Home. I like it because its so true.

Back home we've got a lot of sh*t on our minds
We're always behind on something cause there's not enough time
And we're non-stop,bottom line, doing what we gotta do
to get some food in the fridge and stay out of the hosptial
Back home theres people callin us hopeless
People tellin us all we need is some focus
But focus, focus is overrated cause you see every blemish and mistake and cant change it

Do You Realize - that you have the most beautiful face
Do You Realize - we're floating in space -
Do You Realize - that happiness makes you cry
Do You Realize - that everyone you know someday will die

And instead of saying all of your goodbyes - let them know
You realize that life goes fast
It's hard to make the good things last
You realize the sun doesn't go down
It's just an illusion caused by the world spinning round
Do You Realize

Why? Because it makes me appreciate what I have instead of thinking about what I dont have, and its one of the few songs that's moved me to tears.

I'll be your dream, i'll be your wish, i'll be your fantasy
i'll be you hope, i'll be your love, be everything that you need
i'll love you more with every breath truly madly deeply do
i will be strong i will be faithful cause i'm counting on a new beginning, a reason for living a deeper meaning yeh
i wanna stand with you on a mountain, i wanna bathe with you in the sea, i wanna lay like this forever until the sky falls down on me.

the whole song but can't type it all, this is savage garden, truly madly, deeply and i love this because it means and says everything i possibly could to my wondeful boyfriend and we're having this played at our wedding. If you haven't listened to it please do because it's a beautiful song and really touches the heart.

what a wonderful question,

How deep is your love by Bee Gees. The lyrics listed below make it self-explanatory

I know your eyes in the morning sun
I feel you touch me in the pouring rain
And the moment that you wander far from me
I wanna feel you in my arms again

And you come to me on a summer breeze
Keep me warm in your love and then softly leave
And it's me you need to show
How deep is your love
I really need to learn
'cause we're living in a world of fools
Breaking us down
When they all should let us be
We belong to you and me

I believe in you
You know the door to my very soul
You're the light in my deepest darkest hour
You're my saviour when I fall
And you may not think
I care for you
When you know down inside
That I really do
And it's me you need to show

The song is called "IDIOT" by Lisa Marie Presley...favorite lyrics in the song...." I GUESS I CAN SAY I'M AS HAPPY FOR YOU AS I WOULD BE A COCKROACH IN MY FOOD, YOU'RE AN IDIOT AND I HATE YOUR GUTS" ......This sounds mean, but listen to the song, in fact, listen to the CD, it ROCKS! The reason I happen to like it is because when the song came out, it coincided with my feelings for someone who I had once cared for who turned my life upside down by spreading vicious lies....I am not as angry now, but I still love that song!

"Our titanic love affair sails on the morning tide"

from Richard by Billy Bragg. What an amazing line... every word is just so perfectly chosen.

He also manages to mention that alpha particles are just helium nuclei IN THE SAME SONG! Brilliant!

Cheers
Kabir.

I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time. It's by Glen Campbell. One of the greatest songs ever, the Wichita lineman. You'll find out what this means later in life. My spelling of it could be a bit wrong though!
