Fcc should require programers to moduate the volumes so one does not have to play the volume control. Volume may be set so you can hear conversation but when action comes on, such as explosions,etc. It nearly blows out the speakers. It is the same with Cable as with Satillite. Who does on complain to in order to enforce broadcaster to modulate volume for each of these periods?

Isn't that annoying? I usually have to put cotton in my ears at the theatres.

As for television, if they can come up with technology to keep the color consistent from channel to channel, then they should be able to come up with technology to keep the sound consistent.

maybe u could consult ur cable operator for this, we also face this problem , but never thought about a solution

It's the loud commercials that get my nerves.
