Dolphins don't lay eggs. They have live young. They are mammals because of that fact and they produce milk. Why do you think they have blowholes? To breathe.
Mammals have lungs.
Fish don't.
Get it?
Plus, dolphins always go to the surface. Why?
BECAUSE THEY NEED TO BREATHE!
Fish have scales. Dolphins don't. Fish have gills. Dolphin's don't.
Fish have eggs.
Dolphins give birth to live young.
Really, do you actually read? Every single book on nature that's mean for, like , first graders and up say that dolphins are mammals. And I knew that when I was 3! I mean, c'mon! How old are you? Do you have any education? Really!

there are fish called dolphins of which your statement is true. However the animal in question is most likely a bottle nose dolphin which is actually a porpoise which breaths air and gives birth to live young an also nurses them with milk. Those ARE mammals. Ergo, back to school

A couple of factual errors there I think. First of all, dolphins breathe AIR, not water. Dolphins cannot breathe under water, and can drown, just like any other mammal.

I am not sure about this one, actually, but I don't think that dolphins lay eggs either, but to be honest I don't really know that.

No, Dolphins are in fact marine mammals. They don't lay eggs, they have live births.....and that is the main reason they are classified as mammals....and since they live in the water....they are marine mammals. I took a course for marine mammals a couple years back.....it was very interesting to learn about all the different types of whales and dolphins.

Dolphins do not lay eggs.

The defining characteristics for mammal are usually:

warm blooded
life birth (not eggs)
nurse young

Dolphins meet these criteria and so are classed as mammals.

I don't know that it makes any difference what they are classed as. It is simply a way for biologists to group them. I don't see why something should be considered more important or valuable because it is a mammal instead of a fish, or a bird, or a reptile or whatever.

Have you ever seen a dolphin?

I swim in the water. I come up for air just like a dolphin.

Dolphins do not lay eggs.

Dolphins have MAMMARY glands.

And a dolphin would probably be smart enough not to waste time on your stupid question.

Besides, "mammal" is a word that biologists invented, so THEY get to pick what it means and say who is and is not a mammal.

So what the heck is YOUR point?

Lol! If only "Libs" think this, does this mean that Conservatives think dolphins are fish? I.e., is this an example of the state of intellectual prowess and knowledge of Conservatives? That dolphins breathe water and lay eggs?

Any Conservatives want to chime in?

"The mammals are the class of vertebrate animals characterized by the presence of mammary glands, which in females produce milk for the nourishment of young; the presence of hair or fur; and endothermic or "warm-blooded" bodies. The brain regulates endothermic and circulatory systems, including a four-chambered heart. Mammals encompass some 5,500 species (including Humans), distributed in about 1,200 genera, 152 families and up to 46 orders, though this varies with the classification scheme."

Dolphins have live births, they don't lay eggs.
There is nothing in the definition of mammals that says that a mammal has to live on land.

they meet the requirements that biology has established for mammals

? Dolphins give birth to live young. And they breath air. That's why they are so often found near the surface. We're totally right on the Dolphin front. Conservatives must not spend enough time in careful observation of marine life.
What I want to know is why conservatives claim that gravity works underwater when it clearly doesn't:
People float in water, they aren't held to the bottom
Wood, plastic, boats
How much more proof do you need than boats, I mean, some of those weigh tons! Yeah, right, gravity works in the water.
How do straws work then?
Explain that, smartypants conservatives.
