I don't have a problem with acne, but I am in the process of getting rid of a colony of blackheads that have taken up residence in my T zone! I got a prescription from my doctor for Retin-A-Micro. It is cheaper than proactive (which i tried and did not feel that it worked at all). I pay about $40 for a 45gram tube which lasts for at least 7 or 8 months. Here is the website for more information! www.retinamicro.com

Proactive, but don't just use the basic 3-piece item package because you'll only get the renewing cleanser, toner & repair lotion. The repairing lotion is not enough to keep your face moisturized - while it did the trick, it really dried out my skin in the process - so I recommend you get the moisturizer as well (get the 4-piece instead which includes the moisturizer + SPF, it costs like $10 more but it's worth it).

Btw, it's not recommended to use Proactive if you're pregnant or planning to get pregnant. Otherwise it's okay.

Well I wash my face with neutrogena and then use clean and clear astringent. Remember to wash your face 2 times a day and never go to bed without washing your face. Washing more than this can cause your skin to become dry and then build up more oil, causing more acne. Also, wash your pillowcase at least once every week. Drink lots and lots of water to help clear it up, and try to avoid soda and a lot of chocolate.

INEXPENSIVE WAY: Every morning when you wake up, and every night before you sleep, use noxema (the one in the tub, not bottle). As you cleanse, you'll feel your skin tightening. Be sure to remember to apply mosturizer when you're finished. Change your pillowcase every few days, and drink plenty of water. Remember never ever ever touch your face when you have greasy hands/fingers, or even allow strangers to touch your face, this will make you break-out even more.

EXPENSIVE WAY: Sign up for Proactive Solution, its guaranteed to work...

Good luck :)

for instant results i use stridex maximum strength, it will clear up small breakouts in about 1 day, and when i got a really bad one to the point where i looked like a monster and wouldn't leave the house, using the stridex everyday cleared me up in about 1 week. remember maximum strength in the red container.
