Explain why I should get either one.

You should get an Xbox 360 . All you pay for in the PS3 is the Blu-Ray drive, which is kind of pointless anyway. I mean, yeah it can hold 50 GIG of memory, but the games now are plenty long enough and the graphics seem fine to me. The Xbox 360 doesn't make you pay for something that you might not use anyway (like the HDMI ports on the $600). The only reason that Blu-Ray is so awesome is that it's more dense so you can get a higher resolution, but for most of us with regular TV's, I don't want to pay $500+ for a system features that I can't even use!
Plus, the Xbox 360 games are way better.

Listen close to me, get a Xbox 360 its out now and has really good games now(Call Of Duty 2, ElderScrolls Oblivion) Plus imagine all the problems the PS3 will have, and if u think the Xbox 360 will lower its price when the PS3 comes out think again, PS3 600 bucks Xbox 360 400 bucks which one is lower?

It completly depends on the type of gamer you are. Get a 360 for the best online/community. and for First person shooters (e.g. Halo). PS3 will be best for RPG's, and for the single player experience. Wii is going to be a good budget option, with a cool concept for the controller. If you really want to spend 600+ dollars then buy the 360 and the Wii. you'll get all the nintindo benefits and all the online benefits of the 360. Don't buy either because of disk space or for a blu-ray or HDDVD player. buy them as game systems. there is a gamespot article which i don't have access to (i'm at work) that compares both systems (360 and PS3) in regards to power and such. pretty much says its going to be down to the games because the visuals both can produce are very similar. sorry for the long answer. hope this helps

PS3 is going to be so much better than the Xbox 360 and is worth the price.

I have had so many problems with games not working or crashing and I have had to send the 360 back twice
If you are a hardcore Playstation fan, the answer is simple wait only 5 more months

wait for a ps3 cause play stations work way better than xboxes i have a 6 year old playstation that works great

Even though it took it's time to get here and it'll be more expensive i'm getting the ps3. It just looks a lot more awesome than the xbox360.
