god gave us free will

2006-06-19 07:12:24 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 1

If God didn't want Nazis why are they here? If God didn't want murderers then why are they here? If God didn't want liars they why are they here? If God didn't want rapists then why are they here? Do you get my point. It has nothing to do with whether or not God wanted them to be a certain way. People are allowed to make choices. It's called free agency or free will. And no, I don't think that gays are the same as Nazis and murderers, I'm just saying there are a lot of things on this earth that God doesn't want and he didn't create that way.

Robsthings needs to lose his sensitivities that everything and everyone is about him. On to your question. God gave us free will. Therefore we can make choices whether or not something is right or wrong. Satan is being given a chance to lead whomever he can astray. God didn't give us to him but rather gave us the choice of wanting to follow God or follow Satan. At the end of a period of time, that will all end and those who chose God will be given a place where evils that affect this world will never be again.

I would say free will, but I don't think the answer is that simple, because I do not think gays choose to be gays.

That is really a good question. I'd like to hear the other responses.

Most of the other responses have to do with free will. As I said above, I don't see it that way. Most of the rest of the decisions (Murder, harm, drugs, etc) do indeed involve free will.

And to add, I am strictly heterosexual. I do not believe homosexuals used free will to become homosexual, and I think those that do really are not thinking.

Come on folks, do better than this...

how are you so sure there is a GOD, is the better question. where is the proof that GOD exists? Why you so worried about gays? There are far greater issues that need more attention then the gay question.

And who says that GOD do not want gays? GOD accept us in his image as imperfect... if u are born perfect with GOD-like powers... only then can you say and confirm that GOD did not want gays on this earth. IF you are mortal, then too bad... you should accept the mortal earth as the way it should be and learn to be smart & tolerant of others.

I think a loving God would love everyone, regardless of what they do and whether he approves or not, much like my parents would love me no matter what (except on a bigger scale).

Murder, rape, stealing... My parents would still love me. Now I think that someone being homosexual really can't be put on the same line as murder, but some people do, so that's my thought.

Your god had nothing to do with me(gay or otherwise), so please keep in mind that sweeping assumptions can be seen as rude - even though you are trying to help something or make a positive point about them.

I'm with robsthings....keep your God out of my life....you have no idea what my God is...but I have a real good idea what your God is, a hateful, vengeful being that is waiting for you to screw up so "he" can send you straight to hell. My God is love....a concept foreign to many of you Christians.

There are many things God doesn't want us to do; to steal, kill, lie, cheat, etc. but we do them because we are not perfect we are born into sin and so he gave us the choice to either stop and not sin and ask for forgiveness. Its our choice because that's how much he love use he wants us to do what is right, but wont make us..... it up to you to make him proud of you. its free will just like queencelica said.

The whole Gay issues ( marriage, is it sinful, should they be able to adopt kids).... is getting out of control. If you support it.. you do.
If you don't.. you don't. People are not going to be able to change other people's views on such an issue.
