What does a bear smell like?

Im scared of bears and my momma said she has been smelling a smell like the way cows smell or goats,its kinda that sweet smell like cows,So do bears smell like that?

When we were camping in the mountains a ranger told us that bears smell really bad. They eat skunks and all kinds of nasty things. So I don't think they smell sweet.

no they use the trees lik a scratch post so they might smell lik trees
