Well, think about it. Try not to go with any common names like Mary or Janet. Think of a name that is different from the rest. Like if you tell someone your cats' name, they will remember it because of the interesting name. I like the name 'Buttons.' It is cute and it's fit for a kitten.

Watch the kitten- how she plays, responds- look for a personality-the name will come to you. That is how I have named my 3 kittens- took me about 1 week.

Well usually when i name an animal I get to know him or her for a couple of days. Then based on her personality or something she does or maybe even a noise she makes name her after that so its more personal and its your you know. My cousin had a cat who was playing and fell or something like this he made a thud noise, She named him Thud. My kitty was crazy hyper so I named him Pietre after the hyper dinosaur on the movie The Land Before Time. A friend of mine had a black and white kitty instead of naming him Oreo he named him Hydrox (which is the imitation Oreo) I think it all depends on your kitty.
