Its fun. It helps to pass the time on a boring day like today.

There are some questions, you want to ask but are always afraid to ask. This is the forum where you ask those questions. Google cannot help you with everything. Asking people questions in an anonymous way helps because you are not afraid to ask.
But what I don't like about Yahoo Answers is the point system. Many people think it is cool to get more points. So they answer question, with a "I don't know" or some other sarcastic type of answers. But when a person is asking questions, they understand that not everybody may know the answer. So they are not expecting to check the answer just to know it is a "I don't know".
Otherwise, this is a very powerful and useful forum; just so long that people do not abuse it.
Also I noticed some questions which are really obscene are automatically being deleted by Yahoo! Good job.

It's pretty groovy. Some silly sisters of mine told me how great it was so I thought I'd have a look to see what the fuss was about. I thought I would probably not think much of it but now I am addicted. There are soemtimes some people who are just rude or on here to cause trouble but it is a good way to relax once the kids are in bed!

It's a great idea, but it is overwhelmingly abused. I don't like how it goes unchecked by the Answers team or that I have to do the reporting. There are other things I would like to rant about that aren't relevant to your question except this: It seems that their service on an over all basis has way too many problems and it's not beginner friendly.

It's addictive ... far too addictive! It's also a bit depressing to know that this sort of place seems to collect fatuous questions and equally brainless replies. It does seem to go in waves, though. Sometimes it's quite sensible and interesting at other times there doesn't seem to anything worth wasting my keyboard on.
I have met some very nice people here and I was heartened by some lovely answers I got to one question I asked.

I personally feel that it is a helpful venue for people who need immediate responses to their concerns. As is always the case, there are a few nut cases out there who play with other people's feelings. Yahoo Answers pretty much helps me with what I require. Remember this, "If God be for us, who can be against us?" - Romans 8:31. Peace and God Bless.

I think it is nice because sometimes if you have a personal question to ask and you want it to be a secret you can come and ask on yahoo answers and some one will reply and you and still be unknown and feel safe that it will stay that way noone knows you here as far as they know so yeah its great

I love it! It is so addictive, but really interesting getting to know the personalities of other answerers and see the level of ignorance out there. I spend about an hour a day in religion and spirituality.

I really love it, I am hooked! I enjoy reading other people's opinions, I like to check out things I don't know, it gives me lots of web sites to look at if I am bored and I enjoy passing knowledge on to others. It makes me laugh, it can make me feel very sad for people and it has inspired me in many ways.

Varied results. Some of the answers are obviously wrong, others are flippant and nonsensical or even simple guesswork. I asked a question a few days ago and none of the six replies were satisfactory, most were blatently wrong.

it's a great tool, if you're not asking anything important. It's like "Hey, can you guy's decide my fate for me? Thanx!" Because, you really don't know who's answering your questions. I could be a PhD in Psychology, or, I could be some schmuck with a computer, pretending I am. But then again, some people ask some really stupid questions out of boredom. But I like it though.
