Why a Jew can grow his beard in order to practice his faith
But when Muslim does the same, he is an extremist, a fanatic
and a terrorist! Y?
Why a nun can be covered from head to toe in order to devote
herself to God
But when Muslimah does the same she is oppressed . Y?
When a western women stays at home to look after her house and
kids she is respected because of sacrificing herself(carreer)
and doing good for the household(devoted mother)?
But when a Muslim woman does so by her own free will, they say,
"she needs to be liberated"! Y?
Any girl can go to university wearing what she wills and have her
rights and freedom?
But when Muslimah wears a Hijab they prevent her from entering her
university! Y?
When a child dedicates himself to a subject he has potential.
But when he dedicates himself to Islam he is hopeless! Y?
When a Christian or a Jew kills someone religion is not mentioned,
but when Muslim is charged with a crime, it is Islam that goes to
trial! Y?
When someone sacrfices himself to keep others alive, he is noble and
all respect him.
But when a Palestinian does that to save his son from being killed,
his brother's arm being broken, his mother being raped, his home being
destroyed, and his mosque being violated -- He gets the title of a
terrorist! Why? Because he is a Muslim!
When there is a trouble we accept any solution? If the solution lies
in Islam, we refuse to take a look at it. Y?
When someone drives a perfect car in a bad way no one blames the car.
But when any Muslim makes a mistake or treats people in a bad manner -
people say "Islam is the reason"! Y?
Without looking to the traditions of Islam, people believe what the
newspapers say.
But the question is...
-> What does Quran say?
-> Did anybody disprove anything in Quran?
-> Could this be the work of an unlettered one or some superior intelligence??

well what I think is that, the ppl that are prejudice are simply scared to admit there mistakes that they have done. I do agree with everything that u said because it is true but ppl just dont understand that. It is sooo true how the media turns everything around and sooo many ppl misunderstand. I mean look at the Oklahoma bombing with Timothy Mcveigh was he not a catholic and was his religion called a terrorist religion, was everybody that was related to Mcveigh and that was Catholic a terrorist, No right, but if a muslim was to do that everyone would blame every other Muslim on earth right, but the people that do these kind of actions (terroristic) and call themselves Muslim are not considered Muslim, they have acted on their own they know straight up that it is against the Islamic religion that it is wrong what they do and if they decide to go against it they are not considered Muslim

Just as Islam is being targeted with generalities, you are trying to defend it with generalities. However, there are instances where you are incorrect, and some of them can be found right here on this website.
For instance, you mention about the woman in the burkha or the woman in the habit. If you go onto the Spirituality section, you will see countless expressions of the opinion that if a woman covers herself in the habit of a Catholic nun, she is referred to as a Pagan and ignorant and going to Hell.
You are correct that there is an unfair generalization given to the Muslim faith, where your symbols and your beliefs are being shunned and tormented. However, there are symbols of America's past that are shunned because of the misuse by a few also, such as the Confederate flag being considered a form of racism because it has been hijacked by the KKK and the White Supremacists.
You face an uphill battle, but claiming victimhood is not always a sure-fire solution.

Not all terrorists are Muslims and not all Muslims are terrorists, but the terrorists who attacked the USS Cole, the Kobar Towers, the WTC, London and Madrid were all (say it with me now)...Muslims.
Some people, some ignorant and frightened people, do use generalized statements and stereotypes. This is far easier than trying to see individuals. It's easier to hate a group of people based on the example of a few than it is to get to know everyone from that group and form an opinion. It's intellectually lazy.
Without being presumptuous, I will assume that you are Muslim and, in making that assumption, I will also assume that Muslims have preconceived ideas regarding other faiths or groups of people. You may be a conscientious person willing to see people on an individual level. Then again, you may not be. Once we look past the prejudices in our own lives, then we can begin to influence others to not see those prejudices in their own.

Now, to ensure we Americans NEVER offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us all, TSA will no longer be allowed to profile certain people. The must conduct random searches of old folks, little kids, pilots, Secret Service agents, 85 yo men with metal hips, and Medal of Honor former Governors and leave the Muslim males between the ages of 17 – 40 alone because of racial profiling.
Who are these dunder-heads that are against racial profiling? Would THEY get on a plane with a Muslim male between the ages of 17-40? I know I would not. Does that make me a racist? Maybe so, but I don’t care.
Maybe, JUST maybe that is why there is a bit of disparity to the Muslims. I have YET to hear any Muslim stand up against those who are making a bad name for their religion. Your question is yet another example.

Let me see if I and address your points (Just my feelings and opinions however):
1: Jewish beards versus Muslim beards - The world has not seen a lot of bearded Jewish men hijack 4 planes and crash them into 3 buildings thus murdering 3000 innocent people. Yes, I know about the Israelis and the Palestinians - I think the Israelis would probably leave the Palestinians in peace if the Palestinians left the Israelis in peace. Yes - I know how the Palestinians think that everything should be theirs. It is too late now for anything to be done about the land and giving it back to them - they have to learn to live with it.
2. Nun vs. Muslimah - I am not sure what point you are making here unless you are referring to the recent problem in France(at least I think it was France). I do not remember all the details of that so I probably should not comment. However, I do think it is a matter of choice and the woman should be allowed to make that choice. This brings to me a vivid memory of the treatment of women by the Taliban. Did these women submit willingly to wearing the concealing clothing their religion required or were they beaten so often that they were forced to? What type of religion is so oppressing in nature that it beats its women into submission. What religion is so oppressive that the women are forced to prostitute themselves in order to feed themselves and their children? (I know you may not agree with this but these things were shown in a newscast where reporters interviewed women in Afghanistan)
3. Western women and Muslim Women at home: Again, it is a matter of choice. If that is what you want to do, then that should be your choice. However, if you want to go to school, become educated, become a doctor(or anything else) you should have the right to make that choice. Do all Muslim women have that choice?
4. Dress to go to university: Not sure about this one either.
You should have the right to dress as you please. Do you understand paranoia? This is probably something to do with suicide bombers and security.
5, 6, 7, 8, etc.: subject of Islam: Religion is always a hard subject to debate, even in Western cultures. In the examples you give, I think it is probably a result of perception of Islam in connection with events since the destruction of the World Trade Center buildings and terrorism around the world. Also, Western cultures separate their religion from their government - or try to.
From what I see(my opinion only - no one else) religion in Muslim countries is too much a part of government - this can lead to persecution of one religious faction by another (Sunni vs. Shiite in Iraq??). However, lets get back to the subject.
Why are things blamed on Islam: The only real point I can make is that the people conducting terrorist activities around the world, except in one or two places, are Muslim. In most cases, right or wrong, they quote Islam and jihad(or something close to this) as their reason for killing the infidel crusaders. I am not saying that all Muslims believe this of the Quran, but can you see the point that Westerners who know little about the Quran or Islam may assume all Muslim believe the same way?
I realize that there are many different sects in the religion of Islam and they each interpret the Quran in different ways and to mean different things. The teaching of murder and hatred should not be a part of any religion. Religion should give us the guidelines to live our lives in peace and harmony. It is the perception in many places that Islam teaches murder and hatred and not the true principles of the Quran. Am I wrong??
Maybe it is the same in all parts of the world that the actions of a few cause problems for everyone?

??? I'm sorry dude but your being a little over sensitive beard extremest? stay at home needs liberating? I live in a area where a lot of guys have beards and a lot of mothers stay home and even home school they are just nice people not oppressed. We have Muslim businessmen who condemn the war on both sides. As for someone sacrificing themselves to save someone else like a fireman rushing in to save a child sure he is respected
as would be a father trying to save his son or brother or mother from being raped but someone who plants a bomb on himself to hurt someone else who has a ideal he may not agree with you can pretty much call him a terrorist. I am sorry that you must have had some really bad experiences but believe me the whole world isn't like that there are good and bad Christians,Jews, Muslims . I have had my own "oppressions" in my life but I always take on a one by one case ( and no I'M not a Jesus Freak).
But I do hope that you find the good in life and people before it eats away at you. Take Care Dude

Unfortunately while at war people become demonized so that it is easier to keep public support. You make a very good point though your stance of every time this and every time that is quite off base. I know all of what you said does happen and it is shameful to all of us no matter what side of the issue you stand. Unfortunately for all of us it is the condition of being human that inflicts us all no matter who your god is or whether you hold a god dear or not. I believe in the freedom for Muslims to practice they're faith whole heatedly. people everywhere are on edge right now and stereo typing will occur. I pray when the dust settles we can all live in peace and all have the freedom to practice whichever religion chooses us. With that said, Terrorism must be stopped especially while nuclear and chemical option are becoming more readily accessible. May god bless us all and may he open our minds.

I am not a student of Islam nor do i care to be. So my answer is not based on factual understanding on your faith or it's beliefs. The thing that really bothers me is that with all the senseless killing perpetuated by muslim extremists, i have not heard any condemnation coming from the Islamic community. My growing suspicion is that the Muslim community supports these acts against non-Muslim peoples.

Ever wonder why Muslims say nothing about their own crimes against the world but scream loudest when they get paid back?
Ever wonder why Muslims, who claim to be so pious...will give their lives for a promise of 12 Virgins in paradise?
Ever wonder why Muslims won't take a stand against terrorism yet are the first to condem israel?
Ever wonder why Muslims own convience stores in Ghettos and over charge people for basic nessesities yet claim to follow a doctrine that proclaims sharing with the poor?
Ever wonder why Muslims treat their women like animals yet will kill someone over a stolen goat?
Islam is a flawed religion practiced by the uneducated and ruled by zealots who serve themselves....and if its NOT flawed then why won't the common Muslim stand up for the faith?
